Three Distractions of Life
We are always looking for three types of things in life. We want to CREATE, SUSTAIN or DESTROY something.
CREATE - We are want to create something for ourselves. We want to create a good life, car, house, kids, wealth, goals, achievements, personality, relationships and many more.
SUSTAIN - We always want to hold on to our things. We expect good image in society which should be maintained all the time. We want to sustain our wealth, relations and whatever we have in life. We always have the fear of losing something and hence we run after sustaining it for a longer time but what we forget is nothing is permanent. We want to hold on to many things in life and we are not able to let go things.
DESTROY - This is interesting. We always think that no one should have what we have. In short, we are always looking at other’s lives and comparing what we have and always want to over pass what others have. We always try to achieve more than others and we invite all the stress and tensions in life.
In this journey of creation, Sustaining and Destruction, we always forget to look inside our own selves. Our mind is constantly thinking about endless desires that we carry and that is the start point of all the disasters that we face. We are not able to off load the baggage of other’s life, opinions and actions. Instead of pure thoughts, we always have people in our minds who we want to compare our lives with. In short, we have forgotten the very fact that everything is just a state of mind . The ocean of power, energy and stability is just inside our brain, our thoughts and soul.
Our mind is constantly talking and we would never get into a state of a peaceful bliss, if we keep running like this. There are many who express their desires but there are very few who will express their gratitude towards fulfilling the desire. Yes, that’s the word GRATITUDE. We never say Thank You to the merciful god who is always listening to our unnecessary desires. The distance between one desire to another is not even a micro second. Our thoughts are running so fast that once a desire is fulfilled, in that very moment we have another desire in the waiting list, and so on.
Life is a journey and we need to live like a traveler. We need to get accustomed to the various modes of life. Happiness, sorrow, joy, bliss, excitement, depression all are different stations where our journey stops. It’s up to us whether we want to move on or just get down at one station and live with it. We will never come out of the well of desire during this journey unless we analyze and tell ourselves that We are happy,
We are fulfilled. Our hearts will never reach that state where we are satisfied with everything we have. It is only possible when we start expressing our gratitude towards the nature, towards the universe that is constantly providing its energy to keep us live on this planet. Gratitude is the first step to be happy from inside. When you are thankful for everything you, you attract more from the divine nature and you feel satisfied.
With this, let’s thank the universe for everything we have with us. Our life, food, clothing, shelter, kids, savings, wealth, car, education, job and almost everything we are living with. I am sure we will reach the state of ultimate peace and happiness if we continue to be thankful towards our lives and enjoy the blessings of being a human being.
